Building a Bay Area Medicine Chest

She has completed the Herb Pharm Herbaculture Program and currently studies at The Chinese Medicinal Herb Farm. Learn more about a local medicine movement at www.guerrerostreetgarden.wordpress.com.

What is local medicine? What would a local medicine movement look like? This class will start with a discussion of why locally grown herbs are an important component to modern herbalism in social, economical and ecological contexts. In the second half of class we will discuss cultivation methods for medicine gardens in the Bay Area.
